The culmination of a year’s worth of planning will soon take place on the stage in the auditorium of Kittattinny Regional High School on Sept. 17, at 3 p.m., when Harmony in Motion presents their musical show, “A Jersey Journey.”

This women’s four-part a cappella harmony chorus has been working long and hard on all the many details involved in producing such a show, and there just may be a few surprises in store! Results of these efforts will take their audience on an exciting trip through the Garden State, from High Point to Cape May. You will see and hear why they are proud to be from New Jersey!

Tickets are now on sale from any chorus member, or you can call Diana at 973-862-6227. Reserved seats and special needs seating are also available upon request. Funding has been made available in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council.

Along with songs by Harmony in Motion and some of its own quartets, their featured guest will be “Gimme Four”…..an award-winning and multi-talented men’s quartet based in Caldwell. These four men have been singing together since 2011 and have spent the last five years touring the country competing, performing, teaching, and making lifelong friends.

All four members – Paul, Dave, Will, and Joe – sing in the Dapper Dans of Harmony, based in Caldwell, as well as East Coast Sound, a chorus of 35-and-under which draws membership from NJ, NY, and PA. “Gimme Four” is greatly involved in youth outreach and music education through barbershop singing and coaching. Last year they were one of the teaching quartets for the High Point Harmony Explosion Youth Festival here in Sussex County. They have achieved great success in barbershop contests, finishing second in the Mid-Atlantic District and 16th internationally.

They were featured at the legendary Rainbow Room in NYC alongside James Langton’s NY All-Star Band in 2015, and have continued to sing with the Big Band appearing on The Intrepid, at the Algonquin Arts Theater, and at the Cutting Room in NYC this past year.

They also recently opened for Jay Leno at The Freeman Stage at Bayside in Delaware.

According to their Facebook page, three members of the quartet (with another baritone filling in) traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia in August, 2017 to perform several times at St. Petersburg State Capella Concert Hall to an enthusiastic audience.
