Jefferson Gazebo concerts to start

The Jefferson Township Community Band and Jazz Band will open the 2019 free Jeffersonf Arts Committee's Gazebo Committee's summer concert series on Friday evening, June 28.

The show will be held in the Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, beginning at 7pm.

The members of Community Band will present a repertoire of popular favorites including the classics, Broadway musicals, standard marches, and patriotic salutes performed by local musicians under the direction of Peter Tummillo, Jr. Also performing will be the jazz band ensemble also directed by Tummillo.

Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Jefferson Township High School auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road. Additional free concerts will be held at the gazebo on July 5 with Rave On, July 19 featuring Tequila Rose, July 26 with The Dumonts, August 2 with Country Comfort, August 9 with Sunset Soundz performing, August 16 featuring Reminisce, and the last concert will be held on August 23 with The Symphonics.
